The Board of Governors of Leigh Academies Trust has a range of powers and responsibilities which it is legally required to carry out, working in a close and balanced partnership with the Chief Executive and Principals, to ensure that the Academy provides the best possible education for all its students.

Detailed work is carried out in two Committees: Academic Standards and Resources which report to the full Board of Governors.

Mr. N. Hoad  –  Community Governor
Mrs. E. Ghazi-Noory

A vacancy for a parent governor to serve on the Cherry Orchard Academy Development Group has now become available.  We are keen to encourage parents and/or carers of current registered pupils to nominate themselves to fill this place.  If you join the Development Group, you will serve for a four year term; this requires attending a Development Group meeting three times a year and visits to the Academy as requested.  Training will be made available to any interested party and the successful candidate will be expected to join additional sub-committees within the Development Group.

Please note that nominations are now closed.  Full details of the voting process will be posted here.
