The Special Needs Team consist of Mrs. Julie Forsythe who will be the SENCO, assisted by Mrs. Sheena Williams (FLO). Together they will be overseeing any additional needs and support for those children who may need an extra bit of help in overcoming barriers to their learning.
Once a term, the SEN Team will meet with class teachers at a Pupil Progrss Meeting (PPM) to discuss individual needs and support for any children who are struggling emotionally or accademically. Together with the class teacher, classroom strategies and/or individual or small group support will be planned and shared with parents and pupils, to ensure the best outcome for everyone concerned.
Support interventions may take the form of one of the following, class provision maps (small group learning) personalised learning plans (individual learning), health care plans (medical needs) or pastoral support plans (behaviour or emotional wellbeing). At all times, these will be discussed and shared with parents at regular opportunities.
