Dear Parents / Carers 9th July 2021
COPA Festival of Reflection & Connection – Wednesday 14 July 2021
Further to our recent newsletter, we are writing to confirm arrangements for our exciting upcoming Festival, to celebrate and commemorate the end of one of the most challenging school years many of us have ever known. Although we had originally planned for this to be a time to reconnect the school community as a whole, delayed lifting of restrictions has meant we need to remain in key stage bubbles. Not to be deterred , we are determined our children will finish this difficult year with wonderful memories of a fun filled day – hopefully in the sunshine!
Activities will start promptly at 8:45 for EYFS so please make sure your child arrives at school on time, so that they don’t miss out on the first activity. KS1 and KS2 activities will start at 9:15am, so again please arrive on time. We have some great carousel activities planned – with a Festival Theme – such as Circus Workshops, Fabric Painting, *Glitter Tattoos and Festival bracelet making, as well as some sporting and dance activities. A picnic lunch will be available for those requiring a school lunch and this will be a boxed burger & wedges with ice cream tub. Please order in the usual way via your class teacher on the day.
Children should wear their PE kit – no school uniform necessary – but please make sure they are dressed suitably for the weather and for the activities planned. Comfortable clothing and trainers for sporting activities, hats, sunscreen and refillable water bottles will be required as we plan to be outside all day!
The morning of fun activities will finish with a whole school community singing and dancing session on the school playground, led by our Activity Club Leader Sophia Young. Children can then be collected from their usual exists in staggered times as follows:
Juniper/Chestnuts @ 1:30 pm Willow/Rowan @ 1:30 pm
Rosewood/Maple @ 1:40 pm ** Birch/Palm @ 1:40 pm
Cedar/Bonsai @ 1:50 pm Magnolia/Olive @ 1.50pm
*Glitter Tattoos are all child friendly, non toxic and hypoallergenic but please indicate if you do not wish your child to have a glitter tattoo via your class teacher.
“”Year 3 will sadly not now be able to join us in light of the recent Year 3 Bubble closure.
