Dear Parents / Carers 12 March 2021
Comic Relief Red Nose Day
Next Friday 19 March is Red Nose Day and here at COPA the teachers are busy preparing lots of fun activities for the children to take part in during the day. This year, the official Red Nose Day theme is Toy Story, so we would love the children to dress up as their favourite character from Toy Story such as Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jess or Little Bo Peep. Children in EYFS/KS1 may also like to bring in a toy, but this should not be screen based.
For the older children or those who do not want to dress as a character from Toy Story, they can dress in red to show their support for this very special cause. There will be lots of fun activities planned throughout the day such as quizzes, design a toy or red nose and lots more in the classroom.
We have set up a COPA fundraising page, which can be accessed here.where you can donate for this good cause and watch the funds as they come in.
In addition in the afternoon, to round off the day, our Street Dancing teacher from SLY Moves Dance Club will be coming in to give a very special street dancing session for the children in their year group bubbles, outside on the playground. She is kindly delivering these sessions free of charge for the children, but it would be fantastic if the children could all donate £1 to add to the proceeds of our fundraising day on the Just Giving page. SLY Moves Street Dancing Club will be offering after school activity clubs from Term 5 and further details will be distributed on the day.
We hope the whole day will be full of fun activities – so remember dress in red or as your favourite toy character in Toy Story.
