End of Term Celebrations

Well we made it! End of Term Celebrations carried on in classes despite our very difficult and challenging end to the Term.  A big thank-you to the PTA who helped to make it special for the children in spite of the disappointment of cancelling the Halloween Disco.  Our celebrations for the end of term involved a pumpkin competitionphotos of which are shown below – sponsored by the PTA, who provided prizes for all 16 entries.  I am sure you will agree they were all amazing!

First prize was won by Chloe and family in Year 5 with their hilarious pumpkin carving entitled Olive Die-ning.  The PTA provided a Bluewater voucher as a prize as well as chocolates for every entry.

In addition, the PTA also provided prizes for best costumes, scariest costume, funniest costume and most creative costume and children responded to the challenge with unicorns, pumpkins, super heros as well as the usual ghouls, witches and ghosts.  Despite a difficult and challenging week the staff and parents provided the children with a fun filled Golden Afternoon and a great end to Term 1 – so thank you to staff, parents, the PTA and to our very special children!

Have a restful half term – stay safe, well and we look forward to seeing you on 8th November for the start of Term 2.
