Dear Parent/Carers
Re: Strike Action.
As you may be aware the National Education Union (NEU) has announced further strike dates which are due to take place on Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May.
As communicated previously this action is as a result of a national dispute between the unions and the government, and not specifically Leigh Academies Trust or its academies.
I can confirm that at present the academy is planned to be open as normal during these strike days and any disruption caused by members of staff striking will be managed by the school to minimise any impact on pupils.
If it is necessary to change our arrangements we will notify you as soon as possible but for now please arrange for your child to attend school as normal. As we are fully open we expect all children to attend and any absence through illness should be reported that morning in the usual way.
We are also anticipating that breakfast club, after school provision and after school clubs will run as usual on these dates.
